Yesterdays Maternity Portrait Session went great. The rain storms came in a couple of hours before but it cleared up just in time for us to get started with our portrait session. We had a great time even though it was a bit humid. She had some specific ideas that she had shown me that she was hoping we could create. After previously scouting locations we decided we would go down to the Withlacoochee State Forest.
We started at an old grass runway to get one of the looks that she was hoping for. She was wanting to get some portraits of her in the natural grass with the forest in the background. I used a telephoto lens on most of the images to compress the grass in-order to make it look thicker then it really was. I also used a wide angle lens to stretch the scene on some images as well. Note to self; don’t kneel in fire ant bed next time!
After the runway we drove over to a pond so that we could create some portraits with reflections. Yes, I was watching closely for snakes and gators.
From there we went to another beautiful pond to finish up the photo shoot.
